At the invitation of Asia Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS), Vice-president Mr. Zhou Yafu went to Thailand for work visit, together with Director of International Programs Office and professors from Gemological Sciences Department from June 6 to June 10.
Upon arrival at Thailand, TZC delegation members were warmly received by AIGS President Kennedy, Prof. Richard and Prof. Dietmar, and CEO of AIGS in Greater China Prof. Gao Jiaxing. Accompanied by AIGS members, TZC delegation visited Lotus Lab and AIGS Lab, fully understanding the experimental facility in AIGS and the operation in gemological industry.
In order to carry out the cooperation details, Vice-president Zhou Yafu signed a Cooperation Agreement on Overseas Teaching Practice Program between TZC and AIGS during the visit. Especially negotiations on students’ overseas study in Thailand in Summer Holidays were undertaken at the meeting. Both sides were quite confident and optimistic with the future cooperation and wished to move forward closely in the gemological field. Vice-president Zhou Yafu also expressed his warm welcome to the future visit by AIGS delegation. He said that TZC would give much support to the future development and cooperation.
AIGS, founded in 1978, is a legally registered Gemological institution in Thailand and South East Asia's first gemological education facility. Taking mutual trust, reciprocity and mutual benefit as the principle, both parties agree to offer the educational platform and educational resources. AIGS introduces high-quality educational resources and advanced concepts in educational administration from Thailand.
Cooperation Agreement between TZC and AIGS was signed in year 2016 to start cultivate talents in geological industry. In December 2017, 23 students majoring in Gemological Sciences went to Thailand for short-tem overseas training.
